Bucharest Christmas Tour
Christmas has come to Bucharest! To check it out, we'll meet at 4:30 pm at Revolution Square. We'll start strolling through the narrow streets of the center and go back to the Middle Ages to discover the oldest Christmas traditions.
At the first flea market, we'll visit, we'll seem to travel to the city of Mos Nicolae, the Romanian Santa Claus. Did you know that he leaves presents twice? We'll discover more about this while admiring the big Christmas tree at University Square. Also, we'll see the most typical Romanian nativity scene figurines in the stalls.
We'll continue our tour in the indoor Christmas market. You'll be surrounded by a sweet smell: cinnamon and ginger! We'll discover the original decorative balls and fight the cold with a traditional hot drink.
And we could not finish without visiting the biggest Christmas market in Bucharest, located in front of the Palace of Parliament. There we'll reveal the most popular Romanian Christmas Eve menu. A hint: there is never a shortage of meat rolls.
At 7:30 pm, we'll conclude the tour at Constitution Square. As the locals would say, crăciun fericit!
